Gillespie Macandrew bolsters land and rural business team with new associate
Gillespie Macandrew LLP has recruited associate Douglas Reid to its growing land and rural business team, as the firm continues to expand.
Mr Reid has more than 15 years’ experience in agricultural law, the last 11 of which were spent as a senior advisor. In addition to his extensive knowledge of the full breadth of the Scottish rural sector, he brings with him experience in dealing with both landlords and tenants in all types of agricultural leases.
He has worked with a wide range of clients with varied business interests offering advice on issues from buying and selling estates, farms, fields, forests and fishing interests to business management advice. He also provides opinion work for other lawyers and land agents.
The firm’s land and rural business team now includes six partners, one director and five associates and is one of the largest in Scotland.
