Gillespie Macandrew CEO joins cycle ride raising £190,000 for Alzheimer’s Research UK
CEO of law firm Gillespie Macandrew, Robert Graham-Campbell, has just completed a 950km cycle ride as part of a charity fundraiser called Cycle2Corfu.
Joining a group of city figures headed by Richard Meddings, chairman of TSB, Mr Graham-Campbell was a support rider for the core team of four who are cycling over 1,900km through six countries in aid of Alzheimer’s Research.
Completing half the ride at 950km through four countries himself, he was one of the 16-strong team which was sponsored by Schroders and which has, to date, received almost £190,000 in donations. With gift aid, the total is estimated at £230,000.
He said: “Alzheimer’s affects so many of us and I have been touched by how many people have commented on their experiences with dementia. We’re thrilled by how much has been raised so far and as the full cycle ends on Friday 27 September, we hope more donations will support this epic achievement by the team.”
Further details and progress of the ride, which began on Sunday 8 September and completes in Corfu on 27 September, can be found here.
