Gilson Gray appoints Martin Cryans as business development director
Gilson Gray has appointed Martin Cryans as its new business development director.
Mr Cryans joins Gilson Gray following more than 20 years in leadership and director roles for organisations including law firm Turcan Connell, and communications agencies Firefly, Beattie and Grayling respectively, where business development was a key focus.
His most recent role was project lead for the VAR Implementation Programme for the Scottish Football Association, and he remains a member of its Referee Committee.
Glen Gilson, group chairman and managing partner of Gilson Gray, said: “Martin is a key hire for us as we ramp up our expansion plans. His business development background is excellent, blending sectoral experience with an eye for identifying opportunities. It is great to have him on board as we ready ourselves for the next chapter of growth.”
Mr Cryans said: “In only eight years Gilson Gray has grown rapidly with operations in Edinburgh, Glasgow, East Lothian, Aberdeen and Dundee. It has become one of the leading firms in Scotland. My role is to help partners identify new opportunities and to showcase the breadth and depth of expertise that spans the entire spectrum of legal, financial and property services. I am excited by my new role and the energetic culture of the business.”
