The Glasgow Conveyancers’ Forum (GCF) has avoided extinction with the appointment of a new committee at its AGM.

The members of the new committee are:

  • Chairman: David McIndoe of Harper Macleod, Glasgow;
  • Secretary/treasurer: Jacqueline Meikle of Harper Macleod, Glasgow;
  • General committee member: Richard Andrew of Dallas McMillan, Glasgow;
  • General committee member: Geraldine Darroch of Strefford Tulips, Hamilton.

One of the main aims and function of GCF is to provide quality and low-cost CPD for members.

The AGM and seminar on Scottish Standard Clauses Edition 6 were recorded on film by the Royal Faculty of Procurators. Once edited, it will be available on the websites of both RFPG and the Scottish Law Agents Society to enable those conveyancers who did not attend to view it and claim CPD for that.

Outgoing secretary Ian C Ferguson said: “It is fair to say that there have been many messages received from members welcoming this news and confirming support for the future.

“I would like to record my thanks to members for your support for GCF over the years and the outgoing committee are delighted it has a future now and urge members to continue support for the new committee and GCF.”
