A former footballer found to be a rapist in a civil case is to appeal.
The legal team of David Goodwillie, 27, who was found to have raped Denise Clair, 30, in a damages case at the Court of Sessionhave lodged papers in court.
David Robertson, 30, was also found to have raped her.
She took the two men to court after the Crown Office refused to take the case on.
Derek Stillie, Mr Goodwillie’s solicitor, said: “There will be a motion lodged with the court on Monday. I can’t say anything about the grounds of the appeal because we’re only at the very early stages.”
Lord Armstrong ordered the footballers to pay £100,000 to Ms Clair.
