Governance of Crofting Commission under review
A review of governance arrangements at the Crofting Commission is underway, seeking to assess the current position and make recommendations on future action.
The review will consider matters including:
Rural Economy Secretary Fergus Ewing said: “Crofting is a vital part of many rural communities in Scotland. That is why it is essential that it has an effective regulator to protect and enhance the crofting way of life.
“This review will help to promote effective governance within the Crofting Commission and it is an opportunity to take stock, learn from experiences and examine positives as well as opportunities for improvement.”
