Gurjit Pall joins Thorntons’ immigration team
Thorntons has appointed Gurjit Pall as an associate in the immigration and visas team at its Edinburgh and new Glasgow office, adding further weight to its expertise in this area as Brexit uncertainly swells.
Since qualifying as a solicitor, Mr Pall has worked exclusively in this field, allowing him to assist a wide range of clients at various stages of their immigration journey. He was previously associate and head of immigration and asylum at Livingstone Brown Solicitors, Glasgow and worked at JR Rahman Solicitors and immigration specialist company Five Star International Ltd.
Mr Pall, who is also fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu, has a keen interest in human rights law and EEA Regulations with a particular focus on Brexit issues.
Throughout his career, Mr Pall has established a wide client base and was recently named “One to Watch” at the 2017 Scottish Asian Business Awards.
He said: “I’m delighted to join Thorntons and bring my knowledge and extensive experience in this sector to clients in Edinburgh and Glasgow. With so many current uncertainties related to Brexit, we’re here to advise individuals, families and businesses with any visa or immigration law concerns they might have.”
Ewan Miller, partner at Thorntons, said: “It’s great to boost our immigration team with the appointment of Gurjit. Since joining the firm, he has proven to be a fantastic asset for Thorntons, his colleagues and clients.”
