Harper Macleod has advised The Edinburgh Collection, a member of Palm Holdings, on its acquisition of The Tune Hotel in Edinburgh.

The 189-bedroom hotel, close to Harper Macleod’s own office in the city, has been re-branded as the Haymarket Hub Hotel due to its proximity to the city’s Haymarket Station.

Philip Sim, a partner in Harper Macleod real estate team who advised on the deal, said: “We are delighted to have advised our clients, The Edinburgh Collection, on this acquisition which marks the latest stage in their expansion plans. The Haymarket Hub is a very welcome addition to the West End of the city and as fellow local residents we welcomed the opportunity to bring this brand to the area.”

Ricky Kapoor, managing director of the Edinburgh Collection, said: “Philip and the team at Harper Macleod helped to ensure that this transaction went as smoothly as possible and we were impressed with their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile at all stages.

“This new addition to our Edinburgh portfolio will enable us to further meet the demands of a variety of visitors and travellers to Scotland’s capital. The Haymarket Hub Hotel is about being Connected, Exploring the City and Recharging, an exciting new concept which will satisfy even the most discerning of today’s modern travellers including the Millennials.”
