Harper Macleod named as supplier on CCS’s Debt Resolution Services framework
Harper Macleod has been appointed as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Debt Resolution Services framework.
CCS is an executive agency of the UK government, and is the UK’s largest public procurement organisation. It supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04 billion – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
The Debt Resolution Services framework provides central government and public sector bodies with debt recovery and associated requirements such as data, fraud or financial errors.
Harper Macleod’s appointment to the Debt Resolution Services framework (Litigation Lot 7 – Scottish Litigation Services) is for four years. The firm will provide advice and assistance on all aspects of debt recovery, including small claims, summary cause, Sheriff Court and Court of Session recovery actions, post-decree enforcement, earnings arrestments, inhibitions and rent arrears.
Andrew Hunter, the lead partner for the CCS agreement, and head of the debt and asset recovery team at Harper Macleod, said: “CCS plays an important role supporting the UK’s public sector bodies to achieve best value for money when procuring goods and services. Their work is incredibly important to ensure public and third sector bodies save time and money when buying anything from paper to contact centres.
“This appointment is a significant one for Harper Macleod as it underlines our strength and depth of expertise in a wide range of legal services from public sector advice, to supporting businesses as they recover debt and assets.”
