Harper Macleod to sponsor West Stand at Glasgow Warriors’ Scotstoun stadium
Harper Macleod has significantly extended its existing sponsorship deal with Glasgow Warriors, after agreeing to sponsor the West Stand at Scotstoun Stadium.
Launched by Warriors star Ruaridh Jackson ahead of Saturday’s first home game of the season against the Ospreys the deal will see the stand renamed as the Harper Macleod West Stand for the inaugural Guiness PRO14 campaign.
Having sponsored the Harper Macleod Club Deck – the venue for the club’s matchday hospitality experience – since January 2015, the new stand will also provide the firm with prominent exposure to supporters and TV audiences, with the firm’s logo and branding adorning the roof and signage of the stand.
The firm, which provides commercial and personal legal services throughout Scotland, has also enjoyed successful interaction with supporters, running a number of competitions for both season-ticket members and the wider Warriors fanbase during their association with the club.
Harper Macleod is the first company to sponsor a stand at Scotstoun Stadium.
Glasgow Warriors managing director Nathan Bombrys said: “I think it says a lot for what Glasgow Warriors represents that such a prestigious firm - and an existing, valued member of our sponsor family – is prepared to share our ambitions in this way.
“As well as being leaders in their field, Harper Macleod has been an enthusiastic, active supporter of the club and we’re proud to have them as such a visible part of the Warriors’ identity.”
Martin Darroch, chief executive of Harper Macleod, said: “We are delighted to extend our support of Glasgow Warriors by taking the naming rights to the Harper Macleod West Stand. The club’s fantastic attendance figures are a testament to the Warriors’ profile in Scottish sport and our association has been a tremendous success so far, with a great rapport built up with the club’s supporters.”
