Harper Macleod wins appointment to advise Registers of Scotland

Registers of Scotland is the non-ministerial government department responsible for compiling and maintaining 17 public registers relating to land, property and other legal documents – including the oldest public land register in the world, the General Register of Sasines.

Under the tender, Harper Macleod will be RoS’ sole external legal adviser, providing advice in relation to a range of property and commercial services including:

Harper Macleod’s initial appointment, which follows a competition run under lot 6 of the Scottish Central Government Framework, will run for two years, with the option of a one-year extension.

It will cover an historic landmark for RoS as the Sasine Register celebrates its 400th anniversary in June 2017.
