Herbert Kerrigan QC named honorary president of Aberdeen students' law reform society

Senior advocate Herbert Kerrigan QC has been named honorary president of the University of Aberdeen Law Reform Society (UOALR).

The position was offered to Mr Kerrigan in recognition of his continued support and contribution to the student group, which explores legal issues and promotes reforms.

The society was established last year and plans to launch a new annual publication this October, comprising of reports on a range of legal issues including tax, Brexit, criminal justice, family and property law.

Oliver Pike, president of the society, told Scottish Legal News: “Bert has been generous with his time and along with being the first guest to address our members and we look forward to his involvement with our publication launch in October.”

The new publication will be launched at the Marriott Hotel in Dyce on 11 October 2019, with more details to emerge in the coming months.
