Ian Le Pelley joins Addleshaw Goddard
Addleshaw Goddard has boosted its transport team in Scotland with the addition of ports and terminals expert Ian Le Pelley.
Mr Le Pelley was formerly group deputy general counsel for DP World in Dubai. As well as having experience in the ports sector, he will also be helping to drive the firm’s Scottish growth strategy.
The firm, which has offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, recently announced it had delivered double-digit percentage income growth in Scotland for the fourth year in a row. It also has a strong ports pedigree, having advised Forth Ports / Port of Dundee on the offshore NNG windfarm currently being developed by EDF.
Mr Le Pelley’s appointment comes on the back of a year of growth in AG’s Scotland offices. Last summer, it appointed infrastructure expert Suzanne Moir as a partner in the Edinburgh office, and this year promoted funds specialist Jan Gruter to partner.
David Kirchin, head of Addleshaw Goddard in Scotland, said: “It has been another year of growth for AG in Scotland, with some fantastic results delivered for our clients and a number of high-profile appointments.
“Building on that momentum, I am really pleased to welcome Ian to AG. With such strong experience in ports, and the logistics sector more widely, he is a great addition to the team.”
