Immigration and public law: Rwanda, reserved powers and (scarce) resources

From the Supreme Court to Scotland’s local authorities, immigration is a dominant, if underexamined, feature of the public law landscape.
In this Scottish Public Law Group seminar, a panel of expert speakers will explore the Rwanda policy and its wider constitutional significance; implications of the Illegal Migration Act 2023 for the devolved authorities and how local authorities might balance the exercise of their statutory duties in this area with ever-decreasing resources.
The event will be held at Edinburgh Law School on 29 February from 5.15pm and is eligible for 1.5 hours’ CPD.
