In pictures: Glasgow law students have ‘fantastic experience’ at international competition
Glasgow University law students Grainne Duffy and Eilidh Collins had a “fantastic time” at the world finals of the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition, held at the Law Society of Ireland in Dublin.
India and Indonesia were named joint runners-up in the competition, which simulates a law office consultation and post-consultation period over a period of 45 minutes.
This year’s programme incorporated a range of social events, including Irish cultural experiences with a visit to Croke Park, a céilí and an awards dinner at the Guinness Storehouse, our sister publication Irish Legal News reports.
Ms Duffy said: “Representing Scotland at the world finals of the Brown Mosten International Client Consultation Competition was a fantastic experience. I am proud to have been a semi-finalist with my excellent teammate Eilidh Collins.
“It was fascinating to learn how different cultures approach client interviews. The challenges that I have faced during the competition will be put to good use during my traineeship starting in August.”
