James McNeill QC reappointed to JABS
The reappointment of James McNeill QC, as a legal member of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland has been announced by Justice Secretary Michael Matheson.
Mr McNeill was appointed in 2012 for four years and will now remain in post until 16 September, 2018.
He was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1978 and took silk in 1991. He has ten years’ judicial experience as one of the judges of the Courts of Appeal of Guernsey and Jersey.
He is general editor of a new practical guide to charity law in Scotland, has a great interest in music and is a former chair of the music committee of the board of the Scottish International Piano Competition.
