John Hamilton QC appointed to Scottish Legal Aid Board

Justice Secretary Michael Matheson has announced the appointment of John Hamilton QC as the Faculty Member of the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB).

The four-year appointment to the 12-strong gender-balanced board runs to 30 September 2020.

SLAB chair Ray Macfarlane said: “John’s wealth of experience, including in all aspects of criminal work, will be of great benefit to SLAB.

“His appointment, as well as other recent additions and our continuing members, gives us a strong board that is well placed to steer and support the organisation as we move forward.”
