John King joins Millar & Bryce as principal consultant

Land and property search firm Millar & Bryce has appointed John Kingas principal consultant to provide specialist consultancy support to its clients.

MrKing joins from Registers of Scotland, bringing over 30 years’ legal, policy and practical experience, across all aspects of land and property registration in Scotland.

A graduate of Edinburgh University, he has been instrumental in a number of major policy changes throughout the country, from the execution of the Land Registration (Scotland) Act 2012to the launch of the Development Plan Approval (DPA) service. He also led the successful phase 1 delivery of RoS’s digital transformation programme which included both the digital discharge service and ScotLIS.

In his new role, he will provide counsel and strategic guidance across all aspects of the business, including the resolution of complex title issues (including rectification) through to extension of the company’s current core capabilities to support larger scale voluntary registration projects.
