John Sturrock QC to chair constitutional conversation

John Sturrock QC
John Sturrock QC is set to chair a conversation on the UK constitution and its future later this month.
In association with Core and Collaborative Scotland, Mr Sturrock will be joined in the online event by David Melding CBE MS and former SNP MSP Andrew Wilson.
Mr Melding is a Conservative member and former deputy presiding officer of the Welsh Senedd, and author of thought-provoking books about the constitution.
Mr Wilson is a former SNP MSP, a well-known economist and commentator, a founding partner of Charlotte Street Partners and author of the Sustainable Growth Commission report for the First Minister of Scotland.
Commenting on the event, Mr Sturrock said: “David and Andrew are two of the most thoughtful observers of, and contributors to, discussions about the future of the United Kingdom.
“Both are distinguished by their willingness to speak openly and frankly about policies even if that may lead them to disagree with colleagues in their parties. In light of Brexit, the pandemic and changing public opinion in Wales and Scotland, there is much to ponder. This promises to be a fascinating conversation.”
