Kenny Henderson joins CMS
CMS has announced the appointment of Kenny Henderson as a partner in the litigation and arbitration practice. Mr Henderson is an English-law qualified litigator, who’s hire significantly strengthens CMS’ contentious offering in Scotland.
He has spent over 15 years in London, including with US firm Covington and Burling where he advised blue chip clients on complex and high value disputes, particularly in regulated sectors such as pharma and tech.
He also has specialist expertise in competition litigation, having worked on both the claimant and defendant side in several of the most significant claims filed in the UK and Europe in recent years.
Colin Hutton, litigation & arbitration partner at CMS said: “We are delighted that Kenny is joining us to support the growth and development of our Litigation & Arbitration group. He is a skilled and highly respected litigator, with significant cross-sectoral experience.
“This is a timely moment for Kenny to join. We are seeing increasing demand from Scottish clients who are involved in English law disputes to have their needs serviced from Scotland, and Kenny’s hire significantly strengthens our offering in this area.
“He has fantastic experience both in litigation funding and in the developing area of class actions which will meet the acute and growing need in Scotland. Corporate clients are keenly interested in the risks and opportunities presented by these developments, and Kenny will assist us in further servicing their needs.”
Mr Henderson said: “I am delighted to join the dynamic team at CMS and utilise my experience to enhance the opportunities on the firm’s platform. CMS has a top-tier client base, and I look forward to assisting them in resolving their contentious and quasi-contentious matters.”
