Kirsten McKinnon joins Shepherd and Wedderburn in Aberdeen
Shepherd and Wedderburn has expanded its private client service in Aberdeen with the appointment of solicitor Kirsten McKinnon.
Ms McKinnon has joined the firm from Burnett & Reid to work alongside former colleague Gillian Campbell, who joined Shepherd and Wedderburn in April as partner and head of private client in Aberdeen and the north of Scotland.
Ms McKinnon advises across all areas of private client work, including wills, powers of attorney, adults with incapacity, tax planning and trust work, and is a qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning.
Malcolm Rust, Shepherd and Wedderburn’s head of private client, said: “Kirsten’s appointment will be of tremendous benefit to our clients, given her expertise across all aspects of personal law and her reputation as a lawyer who always goes the extra mile to build longstanding relationships of trust with the individuals and families she advises, including business and land owners, executives, entrepreneurs, professionals and farmers.”
