Law firm donates share of partner profits to children and young people’s charities
Children in Scotland works across Scotland assisting children young people and families while the Rock Trust operates in Edinburgh and the Lothians with young people between the ages of 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
In addition to financial donations, the firm gives all staff a full day each year to volunteer their time to become directly involved in the charities’ activities.
Chris West, CEO of Gillespie Macandrew, said: “Gillespie Macandrew is highly committed to supporting our charity partners through the efforts of our hard-working CSR Committee and the individual and collective contributions of staff and partners. Today’s specific donations are a direct result of the generosity of the partners of Gillespie Macandrew and Hunters Residential.
“The partners are highly supportive of the current policy of making available 1 per cent of their profits for charitable purposes. These awards reflect the very good year the firm had in 2015/16 and the partners are delighted to share some of this success with our valued charity partners.”
