Lawyers at proclamation of the King

Figures from the legal profession were among those in attendance in Edinburgh yesterday to hear the proclamation announcing the Accession of King Charles III.
Dean of Faculty, Roddy Dunlop KC and Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain KC are seen above with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and others. The Lord Lyon King of Arms, Joseph Morrow KC read the proclamation after the King’s Body Guard for Scotland (Royal Company of Archers) and the Guard of Honour marched from the Castle Esplanade to the Mercat Cross.
This was followed by a 21 gun salute from Edinburgh Castle.
The procession thereafter made its way to the castle where the Lord Lyon read the second proclamation.
