Lecture to reflect on tenure of Lord Carloway

Edinburgh Law School’s Professor Sharon Cowan is to reflect on Lord Carloway’s tenure as Scotland’s most senior judge in an upcoming lecture.
Lord Carloway was appointed as lord justice clerk in 2012, and lord president and lord justice general in 2015, holding the position until his retirement this year.
His tenure has encompassed judicial responses to matters as diverse as Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic. In this evening, Edinburgh Law School marks his career to date, focusing on his reflections on his time in office.
