Levy & McRae appoints Carol Gammie and announces promotions
Levy & McRae has announced the appointment of Carol Gammie as an associate.
Ms Gammie joins the firm after having worked as a legal consultant with the Office of the Prosecutor of the United Nations in The Hague. She is also a commissioner with the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission.
Ms Gammie holds an LLB from the University of Glasgow and an LLM from the University of Liverpool. She previously worked as a partner with Allan Kerr, Solicitors in Kilmarnock.
She said: “I am thrilled to be joining Levy & McRae. It is a firm I have always admired and I look forward to working closely with their experienced and talented team.”
In addition to Ms Gammie’s appointment, Iain Cahill has been appointed a senior associate with the firm and both Maria Smillie and Frank McKnight have been made associates.
David McKie, senior partner of Levy & McRae, which recently successfully represented Alex Salmond, said: “We are delighted that Carol has agreed to join the firm. She has an extremely wide and varied portfolio of experience, including international, which will only enhance the offering to the litigation team at Levy & McRae.
“We would also like to congratulate Iain, Maria and Frank on their promotions, which were richly deserved. The firm has been extremely busy during the Covid lockdown and we are extremely fortunate to have such a committed team in place.”
