Levy & McRae sponsors new play on women’s rugby
A new play that tells the tale of women’s rugby in Scotland premiers this weekend.
Sponsored by Levy & McRae, 90 Days was recently highlighted in an episode of the podcast Happiness is Egg Shaped featuring first Scottish women’s rugby captain Sandra Colamartino. Talking about the play she conceived, the discussion explores the history of women’s rugby in Scotland, focusing on the pivotal 1994 World Cup and the evolution of the sport to its current state, alongside the narrative of 90 Days.
The podcast provides insightful commentary on the challenges and triumphs within women’s rugby, emphasising the cultural and social impact of the sport’s development. 90 Days was commended for its portrayal of this journey, underscoring the play’s significance in celebrating women’s rugby.
David McKie, senior partner, said: “We are delighted to be supporting this very exciting project which tells the story of the first ever Women’s Rugby World Cup.
“The themes of the play – a fight to be heard and to compete are synonymous with the law. As proud supporters of the arts, having only last month supported the amateur production 9 to 5 in Stirling, we are absolutely thrilled to see this fabulous show this weekend.”
90 Days premiers this weekend at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh – tickets are still available for some shows.
