Macdonald Henderson makes swathe of appointments
Macdonald Henderson has announced major new appointments and promotions.
The firm has made four appointments to and two promotions within the firm, representing the largest swathe of appointments in the firm’s recent history.
Fraser Morrison has been appointed as an associate director in the corporate team, joining the firm from Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie.
Mr Morrison is an experienced corporate and commercial solicitor with particular expertise in mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance matters and private equity investments.
Laura Forrest has been appointed as a solicitor in the corporate team, joining the firm from Raeburn Christie, Clark & Wallace in Aberdeen.
Ms Forrest combines experience of a wide range of corporate matters with particular expertise in employment law, handling both the employment aspects of corporate transactions and contentious and non-contentious employment issues facing employers and employees.
Alasdair Swanson has been appointed as a solicitor in the corporate team following completion of his traineeship with the firm.
He has garnered plaudits for his work on a number of high profile acquisitions, disposals and management buy-outs, particularly in respect of the project management of large scale diligence and disclosure exercises.
Caitlin O’Dowd has been appointed as a trainee solicitor in the firm’s commercial property team. Following graduation, Ms O’Dowd worked as legal analyst in Ashurst LLP’s multi-disciplinary global outsourcing centre in Glasgow, dealing with various legal, transactional and administrative work streams.
Michael Hankinson has been promoted to associate director in the firm’s dispute resolution & corporate recovery team which continues to enjoy growth since its formation in 2010.
Maureen Matheson has been promoted to associate director in the firm’s private client services team.
She specialises in private client work with a background in domestic conveyancing, wills and executries.
