Macdonald Henderson makes top three in Scotland for MBOs in 2016

The results of the deal table, which is published by Scottish Business Insider in its 2016 Yearbook, caps a busy year in which the firm completed over thirty acquisitions, disposals, investments and restructures (including unreported deals).

Overall, it was a positive 12 months on the Scottish deal-making front, with a rise in both the number of deals (up 20 per cent to 632 reported deals)) and the value (up a quarter to £18.5 billion), particularly impressive given the low/volatile oil prices over the period.

It remains to be seen what impact the result of the EU referendum will have on market sentiment and activity in the months and years to come but the firm said it was “delighted” to maintain its place among the top performers of Scotland’s professional advisor community.
