Maclay Murray & Spens wins double gold in intellectual property rankings
Maclay Murray & Spens LLP (MMS) has seen its IP & technology team ranked among the best in the world by two publications.
MMS has been awarded gold status in the Scottish category of two industry publications: Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) and World Trademark Review (WTR).
WTR said “clients laud the team’s dedication” and hailed as a recent highlight MMS’s instruction by Aberdeen Asset Management on the acquisition of Scottish Widows, which involved complex rebranding and licensing arrangements.
IAM said: “Licensing and acquisition deals are brokered with panache, but the transactional lawyers here really come into their own when it comes to monetisation.
“Capitalising on the wealth of commercial and banking expertise in-house, the team can develop cutting-edge strategies for maximising revenue.”
All three senior members of the IP & technology team - Susan Snedden, Ross Nicol and Alison Bryce - were listed as leading individuals in their field.
