Macleod & MacCallum scoops two prizes at Highland awards
Macleod & MacCallum, of Inverness, has won both awards that it was shortlisted for at the annual Highland Business Women’s Club Awards dinner last Friday.
Macandmac’s family law team, comprising Morag MacIntosh, Fiona Campbell, Jenna Thomson and Scott Dallas won the Team of the Year award and the Company as a whole won the award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Finalists were considered by an independent judging panel and the directors and staff at Macleod & MacCallum said they were thrilled to have been recognised in the awards.
Chair of the board of directors at the firm, Ms MacIntosh said: “As the largest Highlands based firm, we are delighted to serve the needs of our clients throughout the Highlands, Islands, Moray and beyond.
“We are particularly pleased to have won the inaugural Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award, which demonstrates clearly the contributions Macleod & MacCallum make to the community that we live and work in.
“The Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award was won against very strong competition from two other Legal Firms locally and we are very pleased to have been recognised by the Highland Business Women’s Club with these two awards.”
She added: “The Team of the Year award also builds on our success at the Law Awards of Scotland 2015 when we were successful in winning Family Law Firm of the Year against strong competition from central belt based firms. Our success in both these awards ceremonies reflects our position as the largest and most diverse Family Law Team based in the Highlands.”
A substantial part of Macleod & MacCallum’s commitment to corporate social responsibility has been the Community Grants Scheme, which in 2015 saw 116 applications from a wide range of community, school and charitable organisations. Successful entries won either a “Mighty Mac” or a “Mini Mac” Award, on which, see http://www.macandmac.co.uk/community/
