MacRoberts announces flurry of internal promotions
David McGuire, who has been with MacRoberts since 2001, has been promoted from senior associate to director. He has experience in commercial property, with a particular focus on renewable energy developments, and extensive experience in hotel and commercial developments.
Nicole Cook, who began her career with the firm as a trainee in 2008, has been promoted to senior associate. She specialises in commercial property law, and advises a broad range of clients including investors, developers, pension schemes, insolvency practitioners and landlord and tenants in relation to various types of commercial properties.
Angus Wood has also been promoted to senior associate. He joined MacRobert’s dispute resolution team in 2013 and his work focuses principally on commercial disputes with a particular emphasis on insolvency and property litigation.
Elsewhere at MacRoberts four senior solicitors have been promoted to associate level. These include Dawn MacPherson in real estate, Lisa Maguire in banking & finance, Alan Roughhead in private client and Alan MacDonaldin dispute resolution.
In addition, three solicitors have been promoted to senior solicitor level, these include Graham Horn (Dispute Resolution) Brian Jackson (private client) and Pauline McLachlan (energy resources and transport).

This week’s promotions have been announced in the same week that the firm welcomes eight first-year trainees to its Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
