MacRoberts appointed to act for Scottish Fire & Rescue under legal services contract
MacRoberts has won a tender to work with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) in respect of a procurement matter under the Central Government Legal Services Framework.
SFRS was established in April 2013 and brings together the collective skills and experience from across Scotland’s previous eight fire and rescue services.
The appointment will see MacRoberts provide a legal review of the procurement services – particularly to ensure compliance with Scottish procurement law – in relation to a command and control solution for the SFRS.
MacRoberts’s team advising SRFS will be led by partner David Gourlay supported by procurement specialist, Duncan Osler.
Mr Gourlay said: “We are delighted to have successfully bid for the provision of a legal review of procurement documents for this project with the SFRS. Being appointed represents that our experience and expertise in procurement is recognised and helped us secure this outcome.”
