MacRoberts LLP staff give back for Christmas

Staff members at MacRoberts LLP are undertaking a variety of Christmas appeals for charity.

The Glasgow office made their donation to Glasgow South East food bank, based in the Govanhill area of the city while staff in Dundee made donations to their local foodbank in the Hilltown.

The Edinburgh office is supporting ForthOne’s Mission Christmas appeal by donating Christmas presents to the charity for children.

The firm’s volunteer charity fundraising committee Give Something Mac! (GSM) drove the appeal. This year, the committee chose to support several local charities based on causes suggested by staff, rather than having a charity of the year.

Kirsty Haxby, senior solicitor at MacRoberts LLP and member of Give Something Mac!, said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at MacRoberts who took part and are taking part in our Christmas appeals for their incredible kindness and overwhelming generosity.

“Christmas is an exciting time of year for many; however, it would be short-sighted of us not to think of those in our communities who are less fortunate and face poverty at Christmas, We hope that our donations will make a real and positive impact on individuals and families in crisis.”

MacRoberts managed to collect approximately 500 items including 52 selection boxes, 40 tins of ham and a selection of 78 toiletries for men and women.
