MacRoberts plans to double its Dundee presence
MacRoberts is aiming to double its presence in Dundee to take advantage of oil and gas opportunities in the city.
The firm’s managing partner, Neil Kennedy, told The Herald that MacRoberts is focused on increasing the size of its six-year-old office in the city.
“We’re doubling our space in Dundee as we want to go from 20 people to 40 in the next month,” Mr Kennedy said.
“We want to have a stronger Dundee presence.”
The firm enjoyed a four per cent increase in revenues in the most recent financial year, to £18.8m and a 12 per cent increase in profits to £5.9m.
Mr Kennedy also said the firm has overhauled its remuneration system since he took over.
“During the last financial year we more than doubled our bonus to non-partners, paying out 120 per cent of what we paid out in the previous year,” he said.
“It’s based on individual achievement, the achievement of the teams people are in and there’s also an all-firm bonus. Some people received a total of 19 per cent of their salary.”
