MacRoberts retains 77 per cent of trainees
MacRoberts has announced a trainee retention rate of 77 per cent as well as a number of internal promotions.
James Keith, who has been with MacRoberts since 2003, has been promoted from senior associate to director. He advises on all aspects of pensions law and employee ownership law to trustees, companies, public sector and third sector organisations.
Catherine Greig, who has worked in employment Law since 1997, has been promoted to senior associate. She has considerable experience representing clients in employment tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
Jenna McLean, who works in real estate property and joined MacRoberts in 2015, has been promoted to senior associate. She has experience in a broad range of commercial property transactions including leasing, acquisitions and sales and providing support on corporate transactions.
Gary Baines, who has been promoted to senior associate, joined MacRoberts as a trainee solicitor in September 2009. He advises on all areas of corporate law and has significant experience of a range of transactions in a wide variety of sectors.
Lisa Maguire, who is also promoted to senior associate, acts for lenders and borrowers in a variety of financing transactional work and has experience of complex transactions across a range of sectors, with particular focus on corporate banking and acquisition finance.
In addition, Susan Murray in IPTC, and Victoria McMurray in corporate finance, have each been promoted to associate level.
Elsewhere at MacRoberts, four solicitors have been promoted to senior solicitors. They include Jennifer Burns, Jozanne Bainbridge, Jennifer Mathew and Sonja Hart.

This week’s promotions have been announced in the same week that the firm welcomes eight first-year trainees to its Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
