Marks & Clerk Scotland retains ‘Gold’ status
Marks & Clerk’s Scottish operation has been awarded “Gold” status by an intellectual property publication, World Trademark Review, making it one of the few firms in the country to be ranked in the top tier of trade mark specialist firms.
Marks & Clerk was placed in the top tier of Scottish trade mark attorney firms in World Trademark Review’s latest WTR1000 rankings. The publication praised the IP agency for its “strength in depth”, also highlighting the contribution of two of Marks & Clerk’s key trade mark experts, Campbell Newell, who is referred to as “savvy, practical, global thinker – the best in Scotland” and Aidan Clarke, “another go-to for food and drink clients, as well as those in other areas such as energy and finance”.
Campbell Newell, head of Marks & Clerk’s Scottish trade mark practice, said: “Brands across Scotland appreciate the need for brand protection. As our clients grow and develop, it is our privilege to work with them to develop and grow their brand protection strategy.
“2016 was a great year for many of our clients and we look forward to continuing to work with them to protect their brands here in Scotland and internationally.”
