Martha Quinn
Martha Quinn, one of Scotland’s top pension lawyers, has passed away.
Ms Quinn spent the past six years working at the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) in London, having previously held a number of positions in legal and financial firms in Scotland and London over a nearly three-decade career.
She is particularly well-known in Scottish legal circles for having been a partner at Brodies from 2009 to 2013, where she helped to establish its pension practice, and a consultant with Burness Paul from 2013 to 2015.
Miriam Kimber, director of legal at the Pension Protection Fund, said: “Martha was a truly inspirational person, in particular in the way she had succeeded in her career while bringing up her young children.
“She was a source of counsel and support for many people, being very generous with her time, to us and to others. Her love for her family shone through. Her sense of humour, kindness and dedication to supporting the underdog will be very much missed.”
