Martin Walker promoted to associate at Balfour and Manson
Balfour and Manson has promoted Martin Walker to associate.
Mr Walker joined Balfour and Manson in 2015 as a trainee before becoming a solicitor in the firm’s family and regulatory law teams. He mainly undertakes regulatory work acting on behalf of members of the EIS Union in referrals to the General Teaching Council for Scotland.
He has appeared in the civil courts on behalf of pursuer and defender clients at Sheriff and Sheriff Appeal Court level and has defended clients in criminal matters in the Justice of the Peace and Sheriff Court. He has also recently been involved in the Clutha Vaults fatal accident inquiry acting on behalf of the British Airline Pilots’ Association (BALPA).
In addition to this Mr Walker has recently completed a masters course in regulatory law and practice at the University of Aberdeen.
