Michaela Guthrie promoted to senior associate at Balfour and Manson
Michaela Guthrie has been made a senior associate at Balfour and Manson.
The promotion of Ms Guthrie – who joined the firm in January 2014 and started her traineeship in August that year – takes effect from today.
She works as part of the team dealing with clinical negligence matters and high-value personal injury work.
“Michaela has developed significant experience and skill in this complex area and her promotion to senior associate is the natural next step,” said Ann Logan, who heads up the team and is also a member of the firm’s senior management.
“We all know she will continue to develop further, and that she is a valuable asset to the future of Balfour and Manson.”
The firm has already announced three other promotions this year.
Martin Walker (litigation) and Graeme Thomson (private client) became partners on 1st January 2021, while James Hyams was promoted to associate in the private client team in January.
Elaine Motion, chairman of Balfour and Manson, said: “Michaela’s promotion, following soon after the promotions of Martin, Graeme and James, reinforces our commitment to promoting the very best emerging legal talent.
“We continue to nurture and support our young lawyers to create the next Balfour and Manson generation to ensure we keep delivering the very best service to our clients.”
