Miller Hendry sponsored walk raises £8,000
Staff from Tayside legal firm Miller Hendry have raised more than £8,000 for charity through their sponsored walk on Saturday 13 June.
The walk from Glenshee Ski Centre to Glen Doll, in memory of late colleagues Eileen Matthew and Jennifer Adams, raised funds for Roxburghe House, a Dundee hospice where Eileen and Jennifer spent their last days.
The walk was organised by Eileen’s family, including her husband Alan, who is a partner at the legal firm, and daughters Katherine and Eleanor.
The 19-kilometre route, which passes through spectacular Scottish scenery, ended at a BBQ in Glen Doll for walkers and sponsors.
A day before the sponsored walk, Alan and Eleanor also took on the challenging Lairig Ghru from Colyumbridge to the Linn o’ Dee, a popular 30.5km trek.
Ahead of the walk, Alan had said: “I am very proud to be able to give something back to Roxburghe House for their work in caring for Eileen and Jennifer in their final weeks.”
