Miller Samuel Hill Brown appoints new chairman
Glasgow firm Miller Samuel Hill Brown LLP (MSHB) has appointed Marie Macdonald as its new chairman, succeeding founding partner, Michael Samuel, who continues as a consultant.
Ms Macdonald becomes the first woman to chair MSHB, one of Scotland’s longest-established legal practices.
Accredited as a specialist in employment law, she has a wealth of experience and is a recognised leader in her field. She is also co-chair of the Labour and Employment Group of the International Lawyers’ Network.
Ms Macdonald said: “I am honoured to be trusted by my partners to guide MSHB as we navigate through a much changed legal landscape and an ever-changing business environment. We are passionate about delivering a first-class service to our clients and we value the trust our clients place in us.
“Michael was instrumental in building the firm, along with our strong management team, and his contribution has been immeasurable. I am pleased that we and our clients will continue to benefit from his expertise and wealth of knowledge in his new role within the firm.
