More than 200 guests attend Clyde & Co Burns Supper in London
Thursday marked the 18th annual Clyde & Co Burns Supper. On this one night in January, Clyde & Co. Scotland’s partners descend on London with bagpipes, whisky and haggis in what is always a memorable evening for all.
What started as a small affair back in 2001 with just 15 guests, the annual Burns Supper has grown to become a much-loved affair, now attracting over 200 guests for an evening of Scottish fayre in the iconic Merchant Taylors’ Hall.
Clyde & Co Scotland’s London insurance and commercial clients genuinely appreciate the “authenticity of the event”, enjoying the poetry, speeches, music and naturally a few ‘wee drams’ to honour the life and work of Robert Burns.
The Scotland partners will take to the stage throughout the night, with the traditional Selkirk Grace, Address to the Haggis, Immortal Memory and toasts.
Gordon Keyden, partner at Clyde & Co, said: ” I have attended this event since it began back in 2001 and it really does feel like a little bit of Scotland in the centre of London. Our Scottish practice has a large London client base, so this evening offers a brilliant opportunity to re-connect with clients and contacts – all whilst celebrating Scotland’s national bard!”
