Morton Fraser appointed to APUC legal services framework agreement
Morton Fraser has been appointed to the APUC (Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges) Legal Services Framework Agreement.
Morton Fraser is one of six law firms appointed to the new framework agreement which delivers legal services to Scottish universities, colleges and associate members. The appointment is made on an initial two-year basis, with two possible one-year extensions. The appointment has been made following a competitive tender process.
Morton Fraser’s public sector team will provide legal counsel across all work streams including commercial business, property and estates, employment and HR matters, charity and international law. The APUC legal framework enables Scottish universities and colleges to obtain legal advice, training and added value.
Jenny Dickson, chair and head of the public sector team at Morton Fraser, will be the Framework Lead for the APUC contract. She said: “We are delighted to be appointed to the APUC Legal Services Framework Agreement, marking an important expansion of our education practice at the firm.
“The team are really looking forward to working with Scotland’s world class colleges and universities on a diverse and interesting range of matters, particularly as many of our people are closely involved in supporting the third sector as lecturers, tutors and mentors, and in helping to widen access to further and higher education.”
