Morton Fraser’ associate wins green energy award

Ms Watt and Ms Sokhi were presented with the award for founding the Women In Renewable Energy Scotland (WiRES) initiative and for their work in campaigning for gender balance in the renewables industry over the past five years.

WiRES supports the professional development of women working in the renewables sector, primarily delivering career mentoring, high profile networking events and site visits for its members throughout Scotland.

Commenting on the award, Linda Urquhart, chairman of Morton Fraser, said: “Morton Fraser is thrilled to support and encourage Gail with her continued work and success through WiRES in closing both the technical skills and gender gap in the renewable energy industry.”
