New appointments to Inner House

Lord Ericht and Lady Carmichael have been appointed to the First Division and Second Division of the Court of Session respectively, effective from 3 February 2025.
The Lord President, Lord Carloway, and the Lord Justice Clerk, Lady Dorrian, recommended the appointments to allow court business to continue to be dealt with efficiently and effectively.
Lord Ericht and Lady Carmichael were both appointed as judges of the Supreme Courts in May 2016.
