New judicial members appointed to Scottish Civil Justice Council
Two new judicial members, Lady Carmichael and Sheriff George Way, have been appointed to the Scottish Civil Justice Council.
Their appointments follow a membership review, which was carried out after the tenure period for judicial members expired in May 2019.
Following the review, the chair of the Council, the Lord President, Lord Carloway, has decided to make the new appointments.
Lord Carloway said: “I would like to welcome Lady Carmichael and Sheriff Way to the Council. Their knowledge and experience will be a welcome addition to the work of the council.”
