New justice hub to open in Dundee
The delivery of justice in civil cases and the support for vulnerable witnesses will be “transformed” when the new Dundee Justice Hub becomes operational on 3 June 2024.
The new facility at Quadrant House on Riverside Drive will deal with all civil cases from the jurisdiction in a space designed for and appropriate to the modern day with the focus firmly on the needs of court users and the public.
The transfer of business to the Hub marks a significant milestone in the process of improving and modernising the way in which justice is brought to those who find themselves in need court services in the Sheriffdom of Tayside, Central and Fife. The transformative facility will open fully later this summer.
Included in the services operating from 3 June are two digitised civil courtrooms, two new trauma informed vulnerable witness evidence suites, and accommodation for staff and members of the judiciary.
The site will also feature a bespoke evidence by commission (EBC) suite, to further support to the most vulnerable in society when giving evidence.

Its creation underlines our commitment to enhancing the court experience for everyone who needs our services, especially the most vulnerable.”

“The new evidence by commission facility further expands our bespoke trauma informed facilities into the Sheriffdom of Tayside Central and Fife. It is designed around the needs of vulnerable witnesses, allowing them to give their best evidence in advance of the trial using the latest technology.”
