Mr Hunter has headed the firm’s dispute resolution department for seven years and has served on BTO’s former executive board since 2018. He now assumes overall responsibility for the firm’s strategic and operational performance with the aim of driving the positive development of the firm’s vision, culture and strategy.

Having performed senior internal roles for over a decade, whilst successfully leading an employment team which has expanded significantly, Ms Carr will retain a client facing role whilst also undertaking firm-wide leadership responsibilities.

She said: “It gives me great pleasure to take on the role of chair of BTO. Having been present during various pivotal moments in our firm’s history, I am excited and energised to contribute to this next stage in its evolution.

“Our new board will encourage contribution and collaboration across the firm. I am committed to playing an important role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction over the coming years, leveraging my commercial experience gained over many years as an employment lawyer, to promote our corporate identity, nurture our talent and inspire BTO and our colleagues to reach their full potential.”
