New role for Shepherd and Wedderburn construction disputes specialist
Leigh Herd, construction disputes solicitor at Shepherd and Wedderburn has been confirmed as honorary secretary and treasurer of the Scottish branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

I look forward to working with members of the Branch here in Scotland, and also the wider CIArb organisation within the UK and beyond.”
In congratulating her, Stephen Gibb, chief executive of Shepherd and Wedderburn, said: “Leigh’s experience of acting for Shepherd and Wedderburn’s construction and property clients in various forms of dispute resolution will be a real advantage in her new role, together with her excellent understanding of arbitration and other forms of ADR prevalent in the industry, such as adjudication and mediation.”
Shepherd and Wedderburn has a strong tradition of encouraging its lawyers to become involved in national and global organisations such as CIArb, which support the Scottish, UK and international business communities.
