Niche employment and HR practice expands team in Scotland
Employment law, wellness and HR specialist, Loch Associates Group, has expanded its team in Scotland with the appointment of Gavin Macgregor as employment lawyer and Wendy Davidson as HR consultant.
Prior to joining Loch Employment Law in January 2017, Mr Macgregor practised with a large international commercial litigation firm. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, he specialises exclusively in employment law.
Mr Macgregor advises clients on a full range of employment law issues and personally conducts Employment Tribunal hearings as well as representing clients during mediation proceedings.
He is a regular blogger on current employment law topics and delivers training seminars for clients.
Ms Davidson worked for 20 years at Vetco Gray, an oil service company based in Aberdeen, latterly as HR director, a post she held for over four years before setting up her own successful HR consultancy, working with a cross-section of SMEs. She has strong generalist experience with a focus on absence management, overseas/expatriate workers, apprentice training schemes and graduate programmes.
Loch Associates Group was founded by Pam Loch, managing director, in April 2007 and comprises Loch Employment Law, HR Advise Me, Loch Mediation and Loch Health.
The business has offices in Edinburgh, London, Tunbridge Wells and Brighton. It opened its first office in Scotland, in Edinburgh, in October 2016 where its services include all aspects of employment law, HR and employee wellbeing.
Partner Chris Phillips, a Law Society accredited employment law specialist, heads up the Edinburgh office. He had previously spent 20 years, including 16 years as a partner, working in employment law practices in Scotland.
Ms Loch said: “With a growing demand for both employment law expertise and human resources advice, Gavin and Wendy’s appointments add significant strength to our offering.”
